Earthquake in Nepal

In April 2015, AFP-Services covered a visit by the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides, to Nepal days after a devastating earthquake decimated the capital Kathmandu, leaving more than 8,000 dead and 21,000 injured.

The photographer and video journalists dispatched by AFP-Services followed the Commissioner as he toured disaster zones and relief operations, shooting newsworthy material for the media. Since 2010, AFP-Services has completed more than 1,000 assignments for the European Commission.
